Once upon a time in an itty-bitty town in the far-away land known as Vancouver Island, little Mary Galloway secretly dreamed of becoming a movie star even though it seemed to others to be a far-fetched and unattainable goal for her. You see, on the surface, Mary seemed a dutiful, shy girl quietly working her way through public school, apparently unconcerned about where her life would lead after graduation.
But, Mary had her dreams. She admired the actors she watched in movies and on TV, and she loved how they and their stories held her so completely captive. She hoped that one day, somehow, she could tell stories and act in them as well as the people she admired so much.
Graduation came and went, but only a year later Mary found herself living in, and actually exploring, all parts of Vancouver…the once big, scary city. One fall afternoon, the sun shining in and about her, excitement in the air, she happened upon a school of acting. Quite un-Mary-like, she paused, pondered: "What do I have to lose? Nothing! What do I have to gain? Everything!" Mary enrolled.
Two wonderful years of an intensive, full-time acting program whipped Mary into shape. Not only did she break out of her shell, she found her voice; now able to admit to herself and confess to her peers what she had secretly dreamed of doing… of becoming a story-teller and actress. Shy, little Mary graduated with a 98% average and more than thirty acting-credits beside her name.
Nothing can stop her now!
